Vendor Application

Lindstrom-Public-Market-Brandmark-V2-FullColor.png

The Lindström Public Market is designed for local food makers who take pride in quality, craft, and thoughtful production. Our vendors are small-batch producers, bakers, farmers, and specialty food makers offering packaged or prepared foods made with care and intention.

The Lindström Public Market is a curated market. Each vendor is thoughtfully selected to ensure the overall experience remains exceptional for both customers and vendors.

This is a food-only market—we do not accept artisans, crafters, personal care products, or other non-food products.

Before applying, please ensure that you are properly licensed and carry insurance appropriate for your business. Vendors must meet applicable food safety and regulatory requirements.

If this sounds like your kind of market, we would love to learn more about your work.

Application & Vendor Selection Process

  1. Submit an Application: Complete the application and tell us about your products, process, licensing, and business.

  2. Application Review: Applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with the market’s focus on high-quality, food-first vendors.

  3. Product Conversation & Sampling: If your application looks like a good fit, we schedule a conversation and typically ask to try your products. Flavor, quality, and presentation are important parts of the evaluation process.

  4. Vendor Approval & Onboarding: If approved, you will be onboarded and receive access to our automated booking system, where vendors schedule their market dates.

The process typically takes 2–3 weeks, depending on scheduling and product sampling.

How Vendors Are Selected

Our goal is not simply to fill booths—it is to build a market where every vendor has the opportunity to succeed. When reviewing applications, we consider several factors:

• Product quality and craftsmanship
• Uniqueness of the offering
• Fit with the market’s food-focused mission
• Licensing and insurance compliance
• Production readiness, including labeling, packaging, pricing, and the ability to meet customer demand
• Category balance within the market
• Vendor reliability and consistency
• Alignment with the market’s quality-first ethos

Category Balance & Vendor Coordination

To maintain strong sales for vendors and a great experience for customers, we limit the number of vendors within each category (for example: breads, produce, proteins, prepared foods, and specialty products).

When multiple vendors share a category, we often coordinate attendance schedules so vendors are not competing directly week after week. This helps maintain healthy sales while still giving customers variety.

This approach protects the ecosystem of the market—ensuring customers have variety while vendors have the opportunity to build sustainable sales.

What Makes the Lindström Public Market Different

The Lindström Public Market is not a typical farmers market. We are designed to provide a professional, high-volume environment that supports small food businesses.

  • Year-Round Indoor Market: The market operates indoors in a temperature-controlled historic building, allowing vendors to sell consistently regardless of weather

  • High Customer Volume: The market is professionally marketed and designed as a regional food destination, drawing customers from across the area.

  • Food Hall Environment: Outside the building, the market extends into a food hall-style gathering space with seating, food trucks, and a place for customers to stay and enjoy the experience.

  • Live Music & Atmosphere: Live music and thoughtful programming create a welcoming environment that encourages customers to linger, explore vendors, and return week after week.

Our goal is to create something that feels more like a European market hall than a traditional farmers market—a place where great food and great makers come together.

Every vendor at the market represents a craft. These are foods made by people who care deeply about ingredients, process, and quality. Many of our vendors wake early to harvest, bake late into the night, and continuously refine what they make. That dedication is what makes the market special.
