Event Guidelines
To preserve the character and integrity of this historic space:

-
All setup, event time, and cleanup must occur within your reserved rental window
-
All items brought into the space must be removed at the end of your event
-
No nails, screws, staples, or adhesives may be used on walls, ceilings, or architectural features
-
Decorations and installations must be freestanding
-
Attendance must remain within safe capacity limits
Capacity & Space Planning
The Helberg Building offers approximately 4,750 square feet of open, flexible space. Because the building is historic and intentionally kept open and adaptable, capacity will vary based on how you plan to use the space.

Here are general guidelines to help you plan:

Seated Events (tables + chairs)
Comfortably accommodates 240–300 guests
Ideal for weddings, dinners, fundraisers, and community gatherings

Standing / Cocktail-Style Events
Comfortably accommodates 325–400 guests
Great for receptions, markets, and social events with movement and mingling

Theater-Style Seating (rows of chairs)
Up to 400–500 guests depending on layout
Best for presentations, speakers, or performances

Classroom or Workshop Setup (tables + chairs)
Approximately 160–240 guests
Well-suited for trainings, meetings, and educational sessions

Capacity may be adjusted based on your event needs, including space for catering, bar service, staging, or vendor setups. We’re happy to walk the space with you and help design a layout that feels both comfortable and aligned with your vision.

If you’re unsure what your event requires, just ask — we’ve hosted everything from intimate gatherings to high-traffic markets and can help you find the right fit.
